Sarah Ruhl's contemporary retelling of Eurydice will run at the Alley Theatre in Houston beginning on Feb. 4. The final performance will be on March 1. Gregory Boyd will direct this performance, held at Neuhaus Stage. The preview starts tonight.

Ruhl's play retells the story of Eurydice and her trip to the Underworld on the eve of her marriage to Orpheus. (I guess a trip tot he Underworld is an extreme way to address "cold feet.") Reviews for Ruhl's version of this classic tale have been quite good, and it looks like a fun event for Houstonians.
